The straumann rc healing abutment has been placed on top of your implant. And it would shape and tighten the gum tissue and to prevent food from settling around the implant. During the first month after your surgery the gum tissue continues to heal and tighten around the abutment. At the same time the bone strengthens and grows for approximately 4 months. This is a critical time to be gentle with your surgical site and implant.
The cover screws during dental restoration surgery are used after implant implantation, which mainly prevents the tissue into the screw hole; and, The straumann rc healing abutment will be used after a long while upon the implant implantation. The abutment is placed on the implant during the restorative dental implant surgery, and it will also be attached to the implant after the surgery.
